The Velesi Trilogy

Two nights after her eighteenth birthday, Lily is attacked while out jogging, but is saved by Tharin Lunar, a Sidhe prince. When she discovers that her attacker is her brother Lucas, who disappeared four years ago, Lily refuses to believe that her brother would truly hurt her and becomes determined to find Lucas and bring him home. Lily learns that Lucas’ disappearance is somehow tied to Tharin; so when he informs her that she is his betrothed and must return with him to Velesi, fulfill a treaty between their families and unite the two strongest clans through their marriage, Lily agrees. However, she’s not going to Velesi for a wedding, but to bring home her only family, Lucas.

On their journey to the borders of Velesi, the realm of the Thirteen Clans, they are pursued by a Sidhe assassin group called the Ange, meet with an ogre crime lord, deal with a sleazy troll motel manager, and discover that there is a bounty on their heads. Lily and the Sidhe prince must keep one step ahead of every assassin, bounty hunter and low-life criminal in Velesi.

Protecting Lily has become the biggest challenge of Tharin’s life. Lucky for him, he has help in the form of his twin brother Tolan, Lily’s best friend Julia, and his three bodyguard cousin.

Audio Summary of The Binding

~ * ~

“Welcome to Velesi, Princess.”

It is Lily’s first day in the Velesi realm but not as the princess she was made to believe, but as a captive to a strange Lithi elf named Ziri – Tharin and Tolan’s mysterious brother. Who is he and why has he taken her? Or is he only a pawn in someone’s deadly game of chess?

Tharin and Lily discover a prophecy involving the Unnamed Sidhe and a way back to Eirrell, the birthplace of the Thirteen Clans. However, before they can get to the doorway to Eirrell, Lily must first make it to the Day of the Seating to take her rightful place on the throne of the Willow Clan.

Tharin must keep Lily safe until the Day of the Seating even if it means keeping the beautiful Sidhe warrior Kalis close to him. Will he be able to protect his naïve, but stubborn bride-to-be not just from Harlu but from his warrior mistress? He once again turns to his brother and cousin, to only find that Tolan has his own problems with his feisty Julia.

Thank goodness for the future king of Velesi that he has Phoris, Alorn and Mellis to cover his royal back.

Welcome to Velesi, a realm existing alongside our own with their own rules, their own players and their own way of life.

Audio Summary of The Drifting

                                                     ~ * ~

Tharin and Lily find themselves back in Pathen in search of Julia and the key to Eirrell, but old and new foes are in close pursuit. Adding to their plight, all doorways to Velesi have been closed.

Forced to discover a way back to their realm, the group finds help from new friends and those who once stood against them are now allies. To make matters worse, a betrayal causes the door to the Under Realm to open, allowing demons and monsters once imprisoned to roam the realm freely.

Time is of the essence as there are only two Ancients left while Ka grows weaker, struggling to hold the realm together. It is up to Tharin and Lily to find the doorway to Eirrell, call the Unnamed Sidhe and save Velesi.

Journey back to Velesi and join Tharin, Lily, Tolan, Julia, Alorn, Mellis, Ziri and Cessa to save the realm and maybe have a wedding...or two, but then again, it is Velesi, so...maybe not.

I certainly can not wait for book 3 come out and see adventures and excitement are coming. As I read the first two books I kept thinking how much I wish they would make these into a movie series, who knows maybe these could be the next book movie trilogy. If that does happen this girl we be one of the first in line to see it. Good luck with the writing and July can't get here fast enough!

I love to read and lately some of the books I've read were not that good, but like the saying goes "I am not one to judge a book by it's cover." I fell in love the characters as the emerged and they just got better and better. You captured the true meaning of family and fighting for what you believe in. Can't wait for book #3. Definitely going to buy these in print for my bookshelf, these are books that I know I will read again and again.

  13. Talofa Lava from South Auckland, NZ.

I heard about your book when Lani Wendt-Young announced it on her facebook page, several months ago that I placed this on my 'to do' list. The moment I read the Binding I immediately fell in love with the story especially the characters. It was so hard to even place the book down for one second so I can return to reality lol. When the Drifting was released the storyline was so amazing that I didn't want the book to end.

I introduced your books to a friend and just like myself she was drawn to the story that she had to read both books four times. We both admitted how we've spoken and sighed out loudly (forgetting where we are at times) when reading your books, because that's how good they are :)

We are both excited about the release of book three.

    1. PL - Me, too. It's every authors dream (or the majority of them) to see their work in movies. When I first wrote The Binding, it was Chris Hemsworth face I saw when I created Tharin. Sometimes I can hear his voice when I write his dialogue. :)

I can see Charlie Hunnam playing Tolan as they are similar in features.

    1. Ah, @mrsmichellevilla87! My apologies for this long delay, and thank you for the kind words. I hope I am not to late to respond to your questions about action (training & fighting scenes). For me, it was easy as I was in the martial arts for...well, I suppose once you're in it, you never forget the lessons. Because I understand the follow through of forward or reverse attack, writing it down was easy. In fact, it's my most favorite part of all my stories. If you have no fighting experience, then perhaps you were involved in another sport. Think of that discipline and the effort of practice, practice and more practice, and set yourself back at the moment when you were in it. Think of the motion, 1, 2, 3 and follow through. However, if you haven't had the experience, YouTube is a wonderful resource. Looking to fighting scenes real or fiction, learn the applications and follow through. Remember, not all motion is in a straight line, but it is always complete. Hope this helps. You can email me at lf@lfilloon.com if you have any other questions. Good luck!
